Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon has committed himself to the club by signing a new contract that will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2014.

The 21-year-old has been in great form of late, featuring in 41 of Spurs' 45 games this term and scoring five goals.

That form has led to speculation that Liverpool were lining up a big-money move for the player in the summer.

But Lennon, who arrived at Spurs for £1m from Leeds in 2005, has quashed that talk by signing a five-year deal.
Oh man, that is very, very dissapointing to say the least.

He's so inconsistant. If he played like he did against us in the Carling Cup final every game, then he would be a tremendous acquisition, but he often just disappears in games.

I take your point that he is young and a lot of great players don't develop until later. For his age, he is pretty good, but he does have some key weaknesses in his game and doesn't play well regularly enough for me. His final product is usually pretty bad, although Ronaldo was the same when he joined United and he turned out pretty well when he developed.

I would say it would depend on the fee. With good players around him he could learn quicker.

Yeah but the argument stemmed from my comment that he wouldn't be good enough for you.

At Spurs at least he will play a lot and may improve better. Bentley's signing was a strange one though. Both of them play best at AMR.
