Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has ended speculation over his future at Anfield by signing a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2014.
Benitez's long-term future had been in doubt following behind-the-scenes problems at Liverpool.
"My heart is with Liverpool, so I'm delighted to sign this new deal," said the 48-year-old.
"I love the club, the fans and the city and with a club and supporters like this, I could never say no to staying."
Benitez, who has been at the club since 2004, added: "I always made clear I wanted to be here for a long time and when I complete my new contract it will mean I have spent over a decade in Liverpool.
"The club is greatly respected around the world due to its incredible history and tremendous heritage. It is my aim to uphold those values and help create a new chapter in our history.
"Throughout this process, I would like to thank the owners for their hard work in finalising the deal. All of us at the club want the same thing, which is to be successful by winning major trophies."
Well league wise he has given us our best season since 2001, add a little more depth to the squad on the back of this season and we can make another atempt next season.
So in general I am happy he has re-signed.

Well that is quite obvious, I don't see what difference that makes.
They're both terrible losses. Who's to say what effect it will have? We have proven over the years that we are a team who can bounce back from setbacks and come back even stronger. I don't think even you would disagree with that. The win was vital for you to be in with a chance and now we will just have to see what happens. Either we crumble, or we come out more determined than ever before and avoid further mistakes.
We will know a lot more after the Fulham game I feel. That is a huge match for us. Drop points there and then we can start talking about a capitulation.

The League is pretty much for Man U to win but the game in hand is very important. Win That Match & They pretty much have won the league. Lose & We Have a three horse Title Race. No Surprise that Im Hoping for a Man U Loss.
