A few years ago there was a lot of talk about this happening, as you probably know, nothing ever came of it. Well, the talk is resurfacing now due to the current economic climate. Obviousally, a match against AC Milan will get a club more money than a match against Stoke. Fans will enjoy it more and the club benifits.
If you're unsure as to what this means, its basically a league of Europe's best. A completly seperate League that could look something like this: Arsenal, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Inter, Juventus, AC Milan, Roma, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Villarreal, Lyon, Marseille, Porto, PSV, Bayern Munich, Celtic, Rangers etc etc
If you are wondering about promotion/relegation, Have a second division in which the teams that are normally in the UEFA Cup battle it out to gain a spot in the top league. Pretty much the same as it is now, but across Europe instead of one country.

Why not just have it like the Darts Prem league, determine the place of it by their final standings at their season ends with a few wild cards given out for the last few?
