Well it looks like it is going to be GB team made up of all English players as the Scottish, N. Irish and Welsh FA's are totally opposed to it but there will still be a team.
I'm guessing that there will be an age barrier to it of maybe 23? I could be wrong. My question is what do you expect the team to look like, will BIG players participate?

Of course Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are against it. Most of the team would be English players i would be pointless for the others to even take part.

For football at the Olympics, its an under 23 event, however you are allowed to have 2-3 players over 23 in the squad.
The reason the SFA, FAW and the Norther Irish FA have been reluctant to participate in this event, is because both UEFA and FIFA have said that it could ruin their futures as international teams. If they can play as a United Kingdom side for the Olympics, then why can't they play as the UK for European Championships and World Cups? The risk is too high for these "lesser nations" to take.
Besides, in the footballing word, I don't think the Olympics is high on most players' to do list. They would much rather play in European Championships and World Cups. It's not the pinnical of ones international career.
I beleive you answered all of my questions adequetley and you may be right on the priority front, however look at Argentina's team last year.

I was mainly talking from a british point of view. For a country like Argentina, it's their best chance at getting a gold medal in the games, so obviously they'd put more importance on it.
