Cult heroes arent necessarily the best players from your club but the players who have a large cult following, these are the players the fans love weather they are great or terrible.
Well Boruc gets an amazing following from Celtic fans I was up in Inverness for example last Sunday and they sung one of his songs for 20 mins straight.
Plus he is probably the best goalkeeper we have ever had definately in the top 2.
I also think Diego Forlan had a cult following for you lot for a short while.
Forlan defiantly was a cult hero. The guy gave it his all every time he played. Unfortunately he couldn't find the back of the net as often as he'd like. I'm so glad he went on to have some success in Spain. The guy thoroughly deserved it.
Woud you also say Carlos Tevez is a cult hero at Utd?
Yes he is. The ''Fergie, sign him up'' chants at every game lead me to believe so, as well as the ''Argentina'' chants. The fans respect his tireless work ethic.
Speaking of which, Heinze was also a cult hero for a while.
