When I say best player you've seen, obviously I mean best player who has played while you have been a fan. I am sure we have all seen a lot of legends wear the sacred shirt in our time as fans of our teams, but who is the absolute best you have seen? Is he still playing? What was so good about him?
I might have to think about this one considering how great we've been while I've been a fan. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Since i never saw much of the real Ronaldo in Barca and many of the other big names like Cruijff, Maradona, Rivaldo Guardiola, Stoichkov, Figo, Luis Enrique, etc. it makes the choice rather obvious.
Ronaldinho. Personally, id say Dinho is one of the most skilled players of all time, and while he wasn't with us for long, what he was able to achieve during that time has already become stuff of legends. His 2005/2006 season is near uncomparable; self propeling us to the final of the CL which we subsequently won, will remain his finest hour. His goal against Chelsea is one of the more audacious goals i've witnessed, yet it was almost cynical Dinho at the time; true masterstroke.
As good as Leo is currently and with the future possibilites, Messi isn't even close atm so don't debate me.
And Tom just agree with Paul. In your lifetime, Cantona > all

Cantona was pretty damn amazing, but I don't know if I would rank him as the best. I think obviously Ronaldo reached unparalleled levels last season, but I hesitate to say him because he can't match the longetivity of players like Giggs and Scholes. Obviously Roy Keane deserves an honorable mention for being the best central midfielder in the world for a while, and being a fantastic Manchetser United captain for a number of years.
Actually, what the hell. I am going to say Ronaldo and take some stick. Two good feet, amazing positional sense, great crossing, a fantastic header of the ball, some audacious tricks. He's an entertaininer but also devastatingly effective, as shown by his 42 goals last season. Despite the criticism, he is one of the bravest players I have seen wear a United shirt. I just hope that he can build on the last few games and reach those levels once again this season. It is easy to forget how young he is. At 23 he could be one of the world's best for a long time.

By far and away the best player i've ever seen play for Arsenal or anyone else in the Premier League. Henry, Cantana and anyone else you want to name all come in behind Bergkamp in my book.

Possibly the best thing I have ever seen in the Premiership.

I'd be hard pressed to choose between any of the guys in my sig to be honest. Love them all for different reasons. Horsfield for his effort, Pennant & Sebo for their skill and Maik for being one of the best keepers I've ever seen live

Re: The best player you've seen at your club
Well being a Palace fan I don't have quite the selection of some.
I would have said Ian Wright, but Attilio Lombardo is the correct answer. An incredible player and, damn, we were lucky to have him, even if it was only for a couple of seasons.
I would give an honourable mention too to Matty Jansen and John Salako, both could have been excellent international players before injuries decided their fates
