Wages in the English transfer market are unsustainable and it will implode, says Celtic manager Gordon Strachan.

There has been little movement in Scotland during the January window.

"The market is horrendous," said Strachan. "The English league is killing everything. Everybody wants to go to England.

"And you can't get anyone to leave there. I think what will happen eventually is that it will implode and it will get back to reality."

Strachan believes that, only then, will clubs in Scotland again be able to compete for some of the top players.

These big billionaires coming in and buying clubs is what's ruining football. It's not a good thing at all Dmac.

Just wait till Roman leaves Chelsea and those City people leave in a few years, and those clubs can't get another billionaire stupid enough to pump money into a club. Then we'll have two big clubs in administration and totally destroyed for years.

Look at West Ham at the present, aren't they already struggling due to the current global market, with their Icelandic owner struggling for money?
