Tottenham have completed the signing of goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini on a free transfer from Chelsea.
The 35-year-old joined the Blues on loan in 1999 from Italian side Castel Di Sangro and signed a permanent deal a year later, costing the club £130,000.
Cudicini will provide competition for Heurelho Gomes who has been the subject of much criticism this season.
"Chelsea can confirm Carlo Cudicini has signed for Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer," read a Chelsea statement.
If you want to talk about wasted talent, this is the worlds finest example and I would seriously play him over Gomes easily.

Re: Cudicini makes Tottenham switch
I have a feeling we'll see he's not the keeper he could have been or would have been had he not settled for cash over game time some 3 years back. I'll be surprised if he regains the kind of form he had then

Agreed, it has been so long since he was a regular starter.
And I agree with Dmac. How long is a footballer's career? It is a short time you have to make an impact and leave your mark on the game, yet Cudicini decided it would be better to spend that time sitting on the bench, even though he could still get great money elsewhere for playing every week. He should have made this move years ago.

Well he's wasted his prime. At least he has finally made a move somewhere, but he will only regret those years when he retires and looks back on his career.
