Sure, these type of brawls never happen as much as they used to but there still incredibly fun to play. While it's also known Yukes and THQ has tried to compensate by giving us backstage brawls in the form of a mode to jump into we can't actually go from the ring to the backstage which I hate. I mean if it's not relevant then why would they add the recently announced inferno match if we haven't seen one in nearly two years?

Well I agree that they should have more backstage brawls but I can understand why it's difficult to have as they want it to look/work great on the way and people always want other things like new roster guys, new features in CAW, etc.
Maybe they can slowly add it and just slowly improve it over time.

It was a popular fad in the beginning of the decade, but they made the wise choice in showcasing it less to have different matches. It can be fun at times, but it just never looked or played right. Maybe with the new generation of systems they could make it better though.

lulz, its not like any of the new matches that they have added play right. The very concept of some are flawed. Things such as putting your opponent in a casket to win a buried alive match. Here's another great one, in previous smackdown games, being able to carry a casket as if it were a chair. I'd rather have them get rid of the backstage fights, and the bs match concepts and focus on game play. I wouldn't mid the backstage exploration like they had in HCTP.
