Share ratio is just the ratio for what you download to what you upload back. Depending on what torrent site you're at, you need to keep a certain ratio. If you're at XWT, it's .6 (Although they'd like you to eventually get 1.1), PWT you need to keep .5. Time for an example to help explain it.
Say you download this week's Raw. It's 700 mb. Obviously, once you're done downloading, you have downloaded 700 mb to your account. If you're at PWT, they'd like you to seed it (aka upload) until you seeded 350 mb of it. For XWT, it's 420 mb. (3/5 of 700 mb).
To seed, all you need to do is keep uTorrent open once you finish downloading and it should keep seeding. Personally, I tend to leave uTorrent running all day a few times a week.
Right now your ratio is below the limit. However, seeing how you're brand new and I'm assuming you've downloaded very little, you're going to be alright. Later on you'll be able to download huge files and as much as you'd like, but when you're first starting out, try grabbing just one or at the most two things at a time. You have two weeks or so before they even give you a warning for the low ratio. If you get a warning, you have a week or 2 to get it to an accepted level before the ban you.
If you're a member of XWT or XWT Classic, they have a Seed Bonus. For every file you seed for one hour, you get .5 points. Eventually, once you get enough bonus points, you can exchange it for upload GB. For 75 pts you get 1 GB of credit, 150 gets you 2.5 GB and 275 gets you 5 GB. Starting out it's going to take awhile to get even 75, but keep track of it. Especially if you're in trouble of being banned, try buying uploaded GB. When I started at XWT Classic, I became in trouble with my ratio and was warned. However, I had something like 80 points and I just bought myself GB and just like that I was out of trouble. You can also donate money (Real money) to help pay for the site and in exchange they will give you uploaded GB. If you have a credit card, take advantage of that.
