Jurassic Park 4 in 2008?

Director-producer Frank Marshall tells the London Free Press that they have a script for Jurassic Park 4.

He says Jurassic Park IV "has a good script now, so we should have that one up and running next year for release in 2008."

He previously mentioned that they would start on the fourth installment in the dino franchise after the fourth "Indiana Jones" is completed.

The original Jurassic Park was great. Then they went on to ruin it with the others. Let's hope they do have a good script now and can redeem the name.

Yeah, it seems like the whole story is way overdone now. Dinosaurs get loose and run amok. We got it.

Unless they've got some really great ideas for this to change it up, it's going to be stupid.

I've got a new angle, "Jurassic Park 4: The Shopping Years" - Having moved away from the Island the dinosaurs realise there are better things to life than just ripping heads off so they travel to London, max out their credit and meet a couple of nice Jewish boys (probably the ones from American Pie) and settle down to a better lifestyle and good kosha sex

I was kind of wondering how many more situations they can do through. Weren't the sequels all the same plot essentially as the originals?

What I would like to see is an Indiana Jones/Jurassic Park crossover. Indy could find the dinos by following fossils. It would rule!

The word is that all the original players would be gone from this one and we'd start with a fresh cast.

Something about the possibilities of Dinos being on the loose in modern society.

If you remember at the end of JP 3 they set the Dinos free from the second island.

I've never liked the Jurassic Park movies(although I haven't seen JP 3), if the setting for JP 4 is in modern society it could be interesting.

MTV caught up with producer/director Frank Marshall, who shared a bit more on Jurassic Park 4 and Indiana Jones 4:

"'Jurassic Park 4' is coming to life," he proudly reported. "There's a script, we're getting a director and we're going to get going probably toward the end of this year." Referring to the director of "Park 3," Marshall added that "Joe Johnston could be back. We want to get the script right before we go forward, which is exactly what's [happening with what] your next question is going to be about, 'Indy 4.'" OK then, Frank: What is going on with the next Indiana Jones movie? "We're getting the script right, we're working on it. It's not one of those things that's on the back burner." Grinning, Marshall added that he might try to get both films made by simply combining them. "Indiana Jones goes to the island," he said. "Indy versus the raptors. Get him with that whip."
