I love Metallica. I grew up on a very steady diet of Metallica. I must have listened to each album (up to the black album) about 10,000 times.
I know every note and lyric that is coming, but still love it all just the same. I have started to like their newer stuff since I have also gotten older, but when the Black album came out in 92 and I was 17 I almost cried I was so disappointed. I thought they sold out etc etc.
Now I just realize its called musical evolution. Its also the reason they have been able to stick around as long as they have.
I never was much of a Metallica fan and didn't really ever listen to any of their music until a few years ago. Then I downloaded some of their more popular songs like Enter Sandman, Turn the page, and The Unforgiven and I have came to like them pretty well.
