A lot of people have been praising Heath Ledger's performance in The Dark Knight. People have gone as far to say that it's "Oscar worthy" and I'd tend to agree..
So what have a lot of critics said in response to this acclaim? "It's highly unlikely that you could win an Oscar for a role based on a comic book"
What the fuck is that supposed to mean? A lot of comic books are written extremely well.. look at The Watchmen and others.. graphic novels.. what have you. Some of the best writers I've seen have penned comic book titles.
these people (critics) shouldn't be allowed anywhere near my television screen or newspaper. No credibility whatsoever.

It's the same with comedy roles, I remember with little miss sunshine lots of people were saying it couldn't win best picture because it was more of a comedy than a drama movie.

Little Miss Sunshine was one of the worst movies I saw that year. I couldn't believe it got nominated for anything.

I saw the movie today...Heath Ledger was AWESOME, as was pretty much the entire cast. Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Gary Oldman...all awesome
