Cons (negative aspects of the film):

- Watching the trailers they did a good job of making me want to see the film. This was discussed in the discussion thread a few days back and it seemed the only good parts of the movie were the clips shown in the preview. <_<

- The film in my opinion just felt too rushed. They have a twist (near the end) revealing the guy's wife has superpowers as well, the two fight, then team together, this happens in like 5 minutes and then the film just stops. Though I have to say I did like the real last scene - "Say that..one more time."

- The film failed to develop the characters, like who is Hancock? At the beginning in the first scene we know he's a superhero, then it seems near the end we realise he's from another planet, it seems everything is revealed near the end, which like I said before, just ends point blanc out of nowhere.

- This is a minor thing, but there was alot of crashing noises. I mean, it seemed every 5 or so seconds there was a bang or somethnig like that and little dialogue based scenes, just basically all action really.


Pros (positive aspects of the film):

- There were very entertaining scenes, and it was on a whole very comedic.

- Will Smith was the perfect character for Hancock imo, a cocky, laid back super hero, he really added to the film.

I know I may be looking too much into it but overall I'd say it was a decent movie to say the least. I know it seems really negative from the review, but I guess it is overall entertaining even if the story is blurred.

I saw it also, it totally lacked a main villan. The action was alright, I liked the bank scene, but all he really did was fly through the windows...It was an alright film, this is a movie you should rent.

Yeah, they really did a 'good job' (pun intended) with the bank scene. Along with him putting the guy's face up the other guy's ass was probably the most entertaining scene of the movie.

Overall I think they should have just had one main storyline, the little short stories made it seem more of a drama series (like Smallville) rather than a movie, imo.

I saw this movie a two weeks ago and it is a great movie. I strongly recommend it, Will Smith played a good role in it.

I've heard mixed reviews about the movie but Hand Cock would definietly be something different...Will Smith saving the Earth with his mutated cock shaped hands

I am actually glad they didn't delve into a long-winded backstory about who Hancock was before his powers, how he got them, then going through a part of the movie where he learns to harness his powers, etc etc. With all the Marvel and DC movies going by that formula, it was refreshing to see a "superhero" movie where all that was thrown aside for some fun action.

After all, this is a summer flick, and was based on the fact that the plot revolved around fun action, not a long-winded backstory and drama. I agree that an addition of a main villian would have been nice, but oh well, what can you do? I guess the villian in this movie was Hancock's attitude and alcoholism, so to speak.

Overall, I'd say this is a fun movie to see in the theatres because of the action scenes and cool effects (when Hancock stops the train, for example). Although, if you are hesitant on spending $10 at the theatre, just wait for it to come on DVD.

This movie sucked. Why see this when you can see something much better like Dark Knight. This was nothing more then a Superman ripoff.
