XBox Live Tournaments for us

I am going to see if there's some way to incorporate the vbet system with some online tournaments or even leagues we could set up here.

Running these leagues would depend on a couple obvious things:

1) Would you be willing to join one if you have XBox Live?

2) Would you be willing to purchase/acquire games to play in them? The games would in most cases be pretty cheap, barring new releases.

I would be more than happy to participate in tournaments, and would be willing to buy certain games to play(not sports games since I would get my ass kicked). From what i've heard their are a lot of people who just make it annoying to play Xbox Live(although I understand that's probably just a fraction of them), so I would be happy to play with people who I know won't be calling me a fag or dissconnect if they are losing(both complaints that i've heard a lot).

Yeah, you get called a fag even if you're losing. I belong to several older gamer communities though and play mostly with them, so that takes care of that problem.

Sports games aren't too bad if you don't play with hyper-competitive people. I've lost more than I've won online but had a good time because there was no cheating and good conversation.

. Those can both be found for under $20 used (maybe even new) and are pretty fun.

When MLB 2K6 hits we can maybe do a league there too. There is an online league website thing already set up by the publishers, its really cool.

Yeah I would be interested. But I probably wouldn't buy games since I don't buy Xbox games anymore and at $69.99 for 360 games in Canada I would only be buying 360 games I want. However, I do have a lot of Xbox Live games for Xbox and right now have every XBL game for 360 so chances are I will have a lot of the games we would play and be able to take part in those. Then in stuff like poker that I don't have I just don't take part in which wouldn't really make a difference because I would be the first out

Games like MLB 2K6 I will get for 360 so it would be nice if they add a way to play people on Xbox kind of like FFXI can be played with people on PS2 and PC. But as far as I know that isn't happening

If enough of us get 360 and MLB 2K6, I think we'd be able to use their league board setup. Let's see how that plays out.

I might have accidentally deleted some as I was going through the games, think some are online when they are not or thought some were not online when they are but that should be most of them. Some games also might have the servers closed now for all I know :mello:

Some games that have XBL support like Kameo are co-op only so I didn't list them since I don't think they would work for tournaments. Unless we picked teams and whoever got the highest score playing co-op together or something like that won. But unless there are leaderboards that show stuff like that it wouldn't really work out. Same reason I didn't list stuff like Ninja Gaiden since we could have a challenge of who could score the highest playing a hurricane pack download or something but I just don't see stuff like that working out.
