Rep Power: 11 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | where do you see music in 5 years? Now im talking purely mainstream here in 5 years what do you see as the popular genre? do you think its going to still be rap (and all its supgenres of hiphop and r/b), or will hard rock make a triumphant return, will soft rock climb the ladder of popularity or will pop take its place back at #1 some may call me crazy for this but i can honestly see dance rock being up there, its actually pretty easy to see, we have boy kill boy, bloc party, arctic monkeys, the killers, mobile, franz ferdinand some of these names are alreayd pretty big and the others are only growing i can really see dance rock being the most popular mainstream type music in 5 years, i dont see hard rock regaining its throne anytime soon as killswitch is one of the few good hardrockering bands out there and its too much of a shift from the current scene maybe in 10-15 years but def not in 5 as for soft rock like coldplay and bands like that (too lazy to list them) i can see them up there but to me theres always those who no matter what will never like soft rock and that will always keep it in second pop i dont see it going back to 1 any time soon its lost to much credibility to almost all female pop singers having to strip naked basically to gain any exposure and that leads away fans who want music and if they want naked chicks they search some pron | |
