I was recommended this movie by a friend. It's got a few things that for some reason I instantly enjoy. Drugs, & sex. Man something about these two subjects leaves me fascinated. Anyway, to the movie.
Heath Ledger has always been one of my favorite actors and I've always enjoyed all his movies. Abbie Cornish also happens to be very attractive. The movie itself starts out pretty innocent, but in all honesty was real hard to stomach even for me. Both their performances were incredible, and Heath Ledger continues to amaze me how he can adapt into new characters with ease. People give him a lot of shit about Brokeback Mountain I haven't seen that myself, but In all honesty if he can adapt into that role I give him respect. He truly is a great actor.
The story is a very good one, that happens all too often. A story of two people who turn into severe junkies, and do whatever it takes to continue using. There are a lot of good dynamics as well in the storyline. It makes you really interested in what is going to happen.
The character development is great as well, you see these two people go from one aspect to another it's just crazy.
I recommend this movie to anyone into drug related stories, and anyone who can stomach such a messed up story.
