At the end of the Season 2 Finale when Jack, Sawyer and Kate were bound and bagged on the docks........ Remember Desmond set off the Magnet? Well it created that same exact noise and bright light in the sky as it did when Ben moved it in this seasons finale.
Is it possible that the island moved at the end of Season 2 and we just didnt know it? This could explain how Michael left on the boat and was easily picked up and dropped off in NYC since Desmond and the Oceanic 6 were picked south of Africa.
Also, for next season I figure its going to be like this.......
It will pick up at Locke in the casket with bearded Jack. Then we will no longer do flash-forwards, but again pick up the flashbacks. The flashbacks will be from when they were picked up as the Oceanic 6 and then with Sawyer, Locke and company on the island with Ben pulling the Oceanic 6's strings from the U.S. or wherever. (just not the island)
This whole upcoming season will reveal that Ben isn't infact "evil" but still a puppet master for the 6 and his quest to get to Windmore.
The island dynamic will also be interesting this upcoming season as well since of the Oceanic 6, 4 of them were MAJOR characters.
I also see the Claire and Charlie coming back this season as ghosts.

I noticed the noise sounded like when they didnt press the button aswell. I cant remember it fully but was there a bright flash aswell (the first time, not the Thursday one).
As for Claire, i dont think she is dead. Remember a while ago the psychic that Claire visited in a flash back said something like no-one else can raise the baby. Yet Claire told Kate not to bring Aaron back. Ben said they all have to go back so assume Aaron does aswell this was Aaron ends up back with Claire like intended.

Also, here's a theory about how Claire could have survived the rocket launcher explosion at the house she was in.
Remember how Michael couldn't kill himself, because "the island wasn't done with him"? Well, perhaps the island isnt done with Claire yet, so it allowed her to live through the explosion. Jack's father seems to be the embodiment of "the island", and it just so happens that it's a person Claire recognizes from her past. That's why she willingly followed Christian. And now, she will be doing something that the island requires of her.

Like Duke, started watching late last year and have caught up on all but the last 4 episodes on season 4. Should be finished by the weekend off the SkyPlus (TiVo).
Damn, this show is like an obsession. I'm really sad that I'm going to catch up because one of the finest aspects is getting to the end of an episode and then just zooming into the next one. That feature is going to be "lost" to me from Season 5 onwards and I hate shows having to slow down to one a week!
I've also been pointed toward a site called "lostpedia" and can't wait till I can read up all that is in there to get more "fixes".
Anway, in closing, if the Cliq were on the Island, I would have purged you all with my gas long ago!
I didn't start watching LOST until Season 2 Tyler, so I understand what you mean by "zooming" ahead to the next episode. I think I watched all of Season 1 in about two sittings - it was great!
Lostpedia is a great site...just be prepared to be on it for about 4 hours at a time before wondering where the hell the time went.
I catch on late to almost every show, so I end up watching the DVDs, like 4 episodes at a time. I did that with the first two seasons of Lost.
By the way, here are some of my theories for Lost, going forward.

Remember how Sun said to her father, "I blame two people for my husband's death, and you're one of them".
Then, remember how she spoke to Widmore and said that they had similar interests or something like that?
Well, I think Sun knows how exactly the freighter blew up, mainly that Ben killed Keamy, even though he knew it would make the freighter explode. My theory is that Locke came off the island and told her (since Locke is the only one who could possibly know that, and Locke had "visited" all the other survivors). Thus, I think the other person that Sun blames for Jin's death (besides her father) is Ben. So, in Season 5, I think Sun will be working with Charles Widmore to find Ben.
Also, I think the woman who plays Charlotte (the red-haired freighter chick) will continue to be a horrible actress. Seriously, she's the worst ever.
I think that Faraday will end up being on the island wherever it "moved" to. Even though he was offshore in a boat, I think he was close enough that he got "sucked into" whatever force it was that moved the island. However, remembe rin the episode "The Constant", where he said Desmond would be his constant? I think he's going to try to either get off the island, or get Desmond back on the island, since he needs Desmond around to keep his brain from getting fried, like what happened to that dude Minkowski on the freighter
I also think Walt will become a recurring character again, in "current time". I think he's going to go back to the island with Jack, Ben, etc. And, he's gonna find out that his father is dead, and he's gonna flip the fuck out.
I also think Sawyer and Juliet are gonna start banging, which will make the whole Jack-Kate-Sawyer-Juliet love story a main focus.
Sayid will continue to be a bad-ass motherfucker.
Hopefully, there will be at least one cameo from Mr. Eko, even if it's just as a ghost talking to Hurley
It's gonna be a long wait until 2009...
