Out cold A&E Cancels Dog the Bounty Hunter's Show

A&E has cancelled one of its highest-rated shows. The network announced today that "Dog the Bounty Hunter" is done following Dog Chapman's racist rant that was leaked to the National Enquirer by his son, Tucker.

The network issued this statement to Honolulu's Star-Bulletin:

“In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take Dog The Bounty Hunter' off the network’s schedule for the foreseeable future. We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun.”
I can't say I'm surprised. I knew this was going to happen when I first heard the tape.

Networks avoid this kind of publicity every time.

It might be good for him in the long run as I am pretty sure he needs to focus on his own family issue and himself before ever coming back to TV.

There's obviously a lot of therapy time in the Chapman's future.

The one that did this...Tucker is an idiot meth head who sold his Dad out for 15 grand.

I'm not very fond of Dog or what he said but family issues should be settled privately.

Airing his fathers bad habits out in public like this for money is pathetic and sad.

This whole family needs some serious help.

What's worse is I know if A&E doesn't decide to keep Dog's contract, you know he'll end up on another channel doing the same show.

yeah he will just get a new deal. They had a show similar to this one on hbo a few years back. That was also a real good show, forget the name of if though..

seriously - there is NO therapy in the Dog's future, lol. We all heard who he really is. It is more amazing that it took this long for the real Dog to show up.....
