Re: Beer League - Movie Review

Beer League was a movie I pretty much only watched because Artie Lange was in it. Overall I had a mixed reaction to this movie. Artie Lange is pretty horrid at acting, but still is funny. It’s a weird thing normally you’d be really annoyed by such bad acting, but there were some good lines, and the Karate kid was in this movie. I mean come on THE KARATE KID. Looking back at an Artie Lange who was somewhat in shape makes you sort of sad looking at him just over a year later. Now he’s up to 300+ pounds, and really looking close to death. He’s taking a similar path to Chris Farley, and a lot of people are not giving him much longer to live. Hopefully he bounces back because he for his first real crack at a movie he did an okay job. The movie has a good theme centering around sports, dirty jokes, and Artie’s constant references to his STD. If given the chance people who are into softball, drinking to the point of not knowing where they are, and people who like to have casual sex with no protection would really dig this movie. Now with that said I only think that would cover around 42% of the United States, and about 27% of the world wide population. I’m really happy though that the Karate Kid is still around, sure I have no clue what his real name is, but shit if he did a remake of Karate Kid, and had that blonde asshole kid in it, I’d pay good money to see it. Espcially if they got that asian guy to do that wax on wax off bullshit. Note to self** I dont even know if that Asian guy is still alive he looked old as shit in that movie. That’s about 20 years of age, but asians live a long fucking time so it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility. another note to self** who else fucking hated that Karate kid with the chick in it? I mean come on how could they fuck up a franchise like that. Simple formula Karate kid + That blonde asshole who’s tight casted as the blonde asshole in every movie = GOLD. FUCKING GOLD PEOPLE Get with it already.

I love Howard Stern and Artie, but I agree with the review above. If Artie was not in this movie, I would say it was a pretty bad movie, but I enjoyed it just because of Artie. That is the great thing about being a fan - it can warp your entire view of .... just about everything.

I will be 1 on December 25th. That's right, I am going to get screwed on presents!!!!!
