Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Pick a Flick Write down two movies that have something in common no matter how small or very similar and see what the next person chooses. give a small description is you want. Example Fearless vs The Matrix I loved both movies. Neo was the one that was destined to saved the Matrix and become the next gen superman. loved the action loved the colors and lighting, along with the twists such as Cypher Turing his back to forget everything and be apart of the system again. it helped with me wanting Neo to win. Huo Yin Ja(the main character) lost a fight with after his dad lost a crowd fight and after he lost, he had it in his mind he didn't want to lose and held on to that dream. He was on top of the world, felt like he had lost everything, and going back to the top. Something to nothing, nothing to something. My vote-Fearless. ------- Your turn Jurassic Park or Godzilla(in New York from 99 or 00)?

The GFX was eye popping, Eye sockin, out of this world(lituraly). the whole plot of going on a Asteroid and blowing it out is a tonka toy kids dream. Deep Impact. Oh man. Even if it was a smaller Asteroid there was some hope that you knew they were going to survive. i can't remember much of the movie the one thing i remember was Elijah's Character was the motor scene and running up the hill watching the asteroid fly by. in the end, it was nice. Rep Power: 2 ![]() | Re: Pick a Flick Bourne Identity. I won't go into as much detail as you, but I've enjoyed the series with Bourne incredibly, I didn't get to see the last bit of the series though, I'll see it on DVD soon enough I'm sure when (or if I realize it has) come out. I never got into Golden Eye such as others have. The Matrix Trilogy (all of them) vs. The Lord of The Rings Trilogy (the series, like Matrix) Discuss in detail this one plz, it's 6:20 am here, so I apologize for my short response. |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Pick a Flick The Matrix had comedy, awesome action, and had a lot of memorable characters. in the first movie, Neo was just there like all of us downloading music, etc. being paranoid. living the average forum poster boy life. then getting weird messages and I really loved the first one from his computer. "Knock. Knock. Neo." oh man, the thing that when into his belly man I loved that. thinking it was dream to become something that really happened. "Jesus! That things real!?" Trinity jumping into the window at full speed. Neo learning to set himself free from the religion known as the Matrix Gravity. Then there was. "I used to eat there." He went through a crash course the whole movie. Telling him everything he'd ever known was a lie and everything wasn't real. Then there's Rat or Mole. "Did you ever wonder why everything tastes like Chicken?" "Did you see the lady in the red dress?" All the was a good build up to, " I hope he makes it out alive." moment. because a lot of us can relate to mole as being nervous shy around new people. when he got gunned down, it was like. I hate the people who made this movie. he was suppose to survive! ![]() Neo downfalls at the start running up the pole then just free falling down knowing he was going to get the boot. Running up the wall 13 calories. Free falling thinking about what’s going to happen to you. 25 calories. getting kicking and can't do anything about it. Priceless. ![]() "ok free your mind." :rubs hands together: jumping off the building and getting the blood to flow out after you left the training program showing it had aftereffects even though it was a virtual reality. I loved that. Morpheus holding down his excitement when his faith that he had found the one. was like a seed of faith that was growing with the crowd throughout the movie. At the end of the movie seeing him flying up to the screen, he became the new superman of our generation. I can't remember the second and third movies that much because I hardly ever got to see them. but I do remember those bad ass machines with the gats on the arms.....Tonka toy mark out moment. watching that young dude take control of it and getting Neo's crew through the doors and became the new "mole". loved that. oh, then there was the last fight in the rain, Neo Vs that dude. and before fighting copy's of him was very well done. then there was the fight on the bus when they were on that high way. :pacifier: I was a kid at the candy store sucking it all up and loving it. The lord of the rings. almost the same thing. Mary and Pippin stole the show with the fire works and running with the veggies. haha. it a cousin moment for me. good times. "I think I broke something." :pulls out a broken carrot: HAHAHAHAHA. caught me off guard. Samwise Gamgee. Have you been eaves dropping? Don't turn me into a frog, or anything meaningful. (Something like that) loved that. "Put it in the ground. It is in the ground. It was your idea....:goes off: Lets get another one." Loved that moment. oh and then there was that time when Frodo slipped and the ring went on his finger and he disappeared was an awesome moment when you got to see the all seeing eye. have seen a disappearing scene like that before. with the wind blowing even though you knew there was no wind in the bar. Watching Boreamre getting closer the dark side and trying to get the ring. can relate to that because we all got something that you want so bad you'll do bad things to get it done. the ends justify the means. weather it be drugs, using roids, etc. it's calling out to you. Watching Aragorn become the pure hearted hero that we all want to be. it's like being the prototype Christian, put others before yourself. let go of your dreams and take on what the situation calls for. very inspirational. haha. then there's Gimli and Legolas(i know i can't spell his name v.v). hahaha. just thinking about the stuff they does makes me laugh. Gimli-"17! 18!" Lego-21. 22. the competition they had going on all the time was a lot of fun to watch. Gimli-That still only counts as one! (after Lego took down the mamakill.) Gimli-What we need is an army full of dwarves fully armed and filthy. ![]() Watching two different races that hated each other then one from each becoming friends..... it was a nice add to the story. two different races, one problem, and they got rid off their differences as time went on. Then we have Frodo and Sam. Two of the most unlikely being to have a such a demand of strength, faith, and endurance. It's like having a kid become a preacher for a whole village and getting the job done. not with 100% satisfactory, but no ones perfect. two hobbits walk onto the other side with out Aragon, Gimmley, Lego, Boramre, with only pot, Lamas bread, Two blunt swords, and only faith that they need to get one purpose done. awe inspiring. it can be related to Christianity in a way. everything’s not a holiday picnic being in the light. The GFX they pulled off in the move, Pete's love for action figures, and everything blended in allot. it wasn't till i watched the special features that i realized allot of the buildings were at small scale. Such as the mines of Moria. black gates, those big battle scenes in the second movie, the big ass Mountain and the building built into it. :thud: :speechless: in the end. Lord of the rings. it was Merry and Pippin. i can relate to at those two were doing smoking weed, and having a good high time with my older cuz(Cousin <.<) mostley Pippin. when you see him riding with gandulf....i was alseep on argo trips on my grandmas lap or in between my grandfather and my grandma. ----------------------- Bill and Ted Bogus Adventure or Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure?
