Well I got an “advanced” copy of Halloween, and honestly I actually enjoyed it. Early reviews online are saying it wasn’t a good adaption, and not something that is even worth seeing. I kind of find this to be an over reaction to a pretty solid film. I’ve liked Zombie’s previous two movies, but mostly everyone else I know disliked them. Zombie sort of has an exact following of his music, and films. I guess you could call me a loyal fan of Zombie, and all of his work. At the same rate I wouldn’t go along with liking something just because he’s done it. This version of Halloween is a lot of Mike Myers childhood, and has some solid kill scenes in it. I liked the actual storyline too, and thought it was pieced together pretty well. It had a good flow to it, and had a solid score that intertwined with the movie.
As usual Zombie includes a cast of people who are always in his films. His wife; who is smokin played a solid role as Mike Myers mother. William Forsythe had a pretty minor role as Sheri Moon’s boyfriend.? Tyler Maine who was in The Devil’s Rejects plays adult Mike Myers. (He’s 6′8” making Mike Myers huge in this film. He looks like a beast. And finally character actor superstar Danny Trejo who is awesome in every role I’ve seen him in. So basically I can’t really give a solid reason for you to go see this movie, or not. I don’t want to be responsable if you feel cheated out of money. So only see it if you are true Horror fan, or maybe even if you want to compare the original to the remake.

I have really been looking forward to seeing this movie for a while now. I really wanted to go see it on opening day but, as always I work every single weekend...

Anyway, I think I'm going to try and catch the movie Tuesday. It does look like an awesome movie.

Looks amazing, hope it actually is great. I hate his first movie, refuse to watch the second, so if this is good, I hope he makes another, or maybe her could redo Friday the 13th, and make that actually scary.

I saw it yesterday and it was pretty solid. I don't know why people wouldn't like it. As a horror film, it's one of the creepier films I've seen in a while.

It was nice to see all of Zombie's characters get small roles..

I liked the flow of the film. I didn't think they spent too much time on Myers as a child, it's called character development.. We needed to see what kinds of things drove him to be what he was.
