First Theater Experience

Tell us about the first time you can actually remember going to a movie theater and enjoying the cinema experience as a kid?

Was a good movie? Were the snacks enjoyable? Did Tyler Durden try to molest you in the hallway?

Enlighten us please.

Re: First Theater Experience

The first movie theater experience that I remember was a class trip and we watched Blank Check. That was when I was in fifth grade I believe.

Was the place empty or crowded?

I prefer empty theaters some times depending on the film.

People talk way too much during the movie now a days.

The theater we went to was pretty small so it is never really crowded. It was our whole fifth grade class though so there were probably about twenty of us....lol.

Did you enjoy the film or didn't really watch it?

The first one I went to that I can remember was the He-Man movie many years ago.

I remember watching it numerous times after that and hanging on every word.

I was in awe as a kid.

I enjoyed Blank Check. That is the first movie that I remember actually watching and paying attention to in the theater.

I partially remember some movies before that but I was too young to remember much of the experience.

I actually remember going with my sister and brother to watch the He-Man movie as well but I only remember bits and pieces of it cause I was so young.

I can't remember much about it, but I do remember I went to see the Rescue Rangers with my mum. I was really exited because I didn't know quite what to expect. That film still stays close to my heart even to this day, lol.

Had you seen the show before or just went to see it out of curiousity?

It was the rage for kids back here in the USA around that time.

I never understood what was so appealing about it but I was the wrong age range to "get it" lol

Re: First Theater Experience

I really liked the Rescue Rangers cartoon but I don't remember a movie.

A couple more movies that I remember really enjoying at the theater when I was a kid. The Adventures of Huck Finn, and The Indian in the Cupboard

To be honest I can't really remember. It was my mums choice, I was too young to make decisions like that, lol. I think it was so we could do something during the school holidays.
