Meanwhile, as Frank Castle continues his crusade against various felons, he must also evade a vengeful FBI agent and an inept NYPD detective assigned to his case (elements of the Ennis comic run).

The Lionsgate/Marvel Studios movie starts shooting next month, with a script being credited to Nick Santora, Kurt Sutter, Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. Let's hope they all eventually got on the same page.

I have very HIGH expectations for this one as they seem to have taken what was wrong with the first one and corrected it, not to mention improved what was already working.

If it fails I will be surprised to say the least.

The 1st movie felt like a early 90's Van Damme or Segal flick just with a little better acting.

I loved the first one and it is one of my favorite marvel movies. This one should be great.

There was nothing wrong with the first movie I thought, but it did have a feel like one of those early 90's movies that you'd see on the USA network on the weekends now. lol I like those movies though

It needed more gore, plus better acting. And Johnny sidekick badass is just not believable as a villian. Too sweet of a face. I forgot the actors name but he's the guy from Armageddon with the wife and kid who do not know him.

Do you mean Tom Jane?

The first one gave a lot more of a thriller type film except for the end with the final kills scene.

What I was refering to is people were complaining that it should been more like the comic and had Frank unrestrained and killing criminals without regard for anything. No fire hydrants, being in Tampa instead of NYC, etc.

I personally thought it was OK....just not what I expected for a Punisher movie having read the previous stories.
