Transformers rakes in the money

Transformers raked in $27.5 million on it's first full day of release, setting the record for the highest opening ever on a Tuesday. Yahoo says:

After earning $8.8 million from Monday night screenings across the United States and Canada, the movie pulled in $27.5 million the next day -- a sum billed by Paramount as the biggest Tuesday haul for a movie...Despite its success, "Transformers"' take falls considerably short of the one-day record of $59.8 million set by "Spider-Man 3" two months ago, on a Friday. The previous record for a Tuesday was set last month, when "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" earned $15.7 million, according to Viacom Inc.-owned Paramount."

Re: Transformers rakes in the money

The transformers movie was awesome. The special effects crew for the movie done a kick ass job. I really hope a sequal is in the future with possible the Construtacons coming into the mix and forming Devastator and the Dinobots are brought into a sequel.

Re: Transformers rakes in the money

I thought is was horrible.

The whole movie was camera shaking, too fast action. Its like you never really got a good look at them. They were too hard to tell apart and the freaking Decepticons dont even show up till like half way into the movie.

I was not disappointed though because it always looked like a pile of crap to me.

It could have been about 1000 times better.

I've still yet to see this. I was totally looking forward to it, but then ended up missing it and my desire to see it has just gone downhill.
