Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, minus drummer John Bonham, who died in 1980, were said to be in talks to play a special gig in London.
The concert was reported to be a one-off tribute for Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, who died in December last year.
However, singer Plant now appears to have scotched plan for the comeback, commenting: "If there was one, then there wouldn't be enough doctors to support it!" |

I would have loved to see them do a one-off gig actually.
No doubt it wouldn't have been all that great and even if they were all fully fit the band would never be the same without Bonham, but the atmosphere would be buzzing. Would have been a pretty fantastic sight. And I'm actually pretty certain they're all still capable of getting up there and doing a couple of hours.
In so many ways I guess it's good that Zeppelin have never fully "reunited" since Bonham's death though. Guess they're happy to just let their (freakishly awesome) music from back then keep on doing their talking.
Oh, and everyone should vote for them in Battle Of The Bands Final
