Saw 300 again tonight, pretty decent movie. Honestly some of the lines were pretty cheesy, and it didn't really move me. The only saving grace to this film was the action was a lot, and very kickass. You can see a ton of good fighting in this movie, and a lot gore. Another cool thing is some of the characters they had. They had a hunchback, some giant, and a few others. All of which looked pretty cool, and definitely added to the movie. I saw the movie in Imax which is always a plus, and overall it was a decent experience. I'd recommend this movie to anyone who's into war movies, or movies with a lot of gore in them. Otherwise, I'd stay away.

This was a good documentary on the lives of kids from England from age 7 up. Every 7 years they check back in with them. See what has changed, and how their lives have changed. It's weird cause almost every single one of them hate the actual documentary, and wish they never did it. I got to see when it was all said and done, but they actually made one of these every 7 years from the age of 7. Although I found the documentary interesting, it wasn't something all that entertaining. I mean it was more or less just everyday life, and ordinary people. Divorce, kids, running out of money. Typical issues that hit up a lot of people. There wasn't really that one person who become famous, or became a serial killer. Something kickass that would make it all worth while. The man who made these movies is older now, and this has pretty much been his life's work. Kind of weird to think about that, one distinct film you stuck with through all the time. Pretty crazy. Anyway, I'd recommend this to anyone who wishes to analyze people, or predict what happens with them. Not a bad flick to check out.

American History X has to be one of my favorite movies I've ever seen. I've watched this movie probably a total of around 200 times. This movie really got me into Ed Norton movies, and since then I've seen a lot more of his work. Edward Furlong had an amazing role in this movie, and really took it to another level. You really grasp a world you normally wouldn't with this movie, and it leaves you with a weird feeling after like you aren't sure if you really should like the movie so much. It's fucked up beyond belief, but its a great movie. There were a few scenes in the movie which really were like holy shit type scenes. I wont blow it for anyone if you haven't seen it before, but one of them certainly makes you cringe. There are a few other actors which are pretty kickass in this movie. Fairuza Balk first and foremost is amazing to me. I think she's amazing looking, and a great actor. Ethan Suplee was also real cool in this role. He's a pretty good actor in his own right. Overall, I'd say this movie is a must see for all. Go rent this movie!

For the most part if you read a review of this movie, most people will say it's a train wreck. Sadly even though I hold a strong love for Fairuza Balk I have to somewhat agree with them. Now I actually liked the acting, and some of the angles they were going for in the movie, but the overall plot was insanely disorganized. Every second you try to piece together what is going on, it goes in a whole new direction. I liked Fairuza's character in this one she plays the screwed up sister of Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction). I always enjoy her work, and Robert Foster put together a great performance. Now with all that said I still came out liking the movie at the end. It was just off the wall, but at the same time had some real good parts to it. I dont even know if I would have liked the movie any more if the plot was better. That actually might be the reason I liked it. Anyway, It is hard to recommend this movie, just because I like weird shit. So if you are into weird ass movies, and Fairuza Balk like myself you'll like this movie. Otherwise I'd suggest to stay clear.

Seriously one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I love the show, and knew this would be very cool. There was so much material in this that I cant even begin to explain it. One laugh after another. Even people I knew who hadn't seen it before were getting all the references, and crackin up. The premise was pretty funny, even if it wasn't the focus of the movie. I'd honestly recommend this to everyone. It has some crude language, but for teenagers to people in there 30's I'd definitely give it a go. Everyone go see this.

I am a huge Howard Stern fan so I knew this one was going to be a slam dunk. If you want to laugh your ass off for an hour straight get this video. Artie Lange is an outstanding comedian, and honestly I didn't think he'd be as good as he was. He also includes a ton of sports references, which I actually am interested in. Another reason I can relate to the guy is his favorite past times include drinking, watching sports, and pretty much fucking up his life in every way possible. He also enjoys getting hammered while on stage, which I found pretty encouraging. If you are crude, and enjoy humor like that, you should definitly rent this.

Broken Lizard movies are always at least decent. You can always take something out of them. There were some bright spots in this movie, but overall I didn't enjoy it that much. I suppose its not a bad movie to go see with your frat, or if you are in college. But honestly it wasn't that funny. I found myself not laughing more than anything which always is a bad thing. As always Kevin Heffernan is the funniest part of the movie. He was awsome in Super Troopers as Farva, and was great in this one playing two different characters. The only people I'd recommend this to are kids who are into drinking, and people who get drunk before watching.

This was totally kick ass documentary. It was about the cocaine trade in Miami in the late 70's, and early 80's. If you are into interested stories about crazy shit you need to rent this one. It seemed really realistic, and it had me in the first several minutes. There are a few good extras as well for you to watch after the initial documentary. The people who they interview are pretty interesting. A few of them seemed pretty crazy as well. Anyway, I recommend this to everyone into stories of drug trafficking, and illegal trafficking.

I have to say this movie was a mess from the beginning. I was going to actually just not watch the whole thing, but sadly I put myself through the misery. First of all the actual premise is horrible. The actors also weren't the best. You could tell they just picked as many visually appealing people as possible. Problem is they can't act for fucking shit. The one bright spot for the film was the special effects. Those were pretty cool, but honestly that could not save this movie. I can't recommend this to really anyone. Maybe if you have netflix, and you want to waste a few hours of your life.

This movie is the sequel to House Of the 1000 Corpses. Rob Zombie as a director has received mixed reviews, but I've actually enjoyed both of his movies. There's a lot of violence in this movie, and that definitely was a selling point. The plot was pretty good, and the characters were very kickass. Otis by far was my favorite person in the movie, and there were a few good cameo's in this movie including DDP. The music they had in the movie was also awesome including Lynard Skynard who are one of the coolest groups ever. I definitely recommend this to any Rob Zombie fan. I wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't into violence, or the excessive use of the f word. I also recommend that you get the dvd with the extras on it. There is a really cool extra where you go on a day to day process of creating the movie. I think it actually only took 30 days which in itself is insane.

Life In The Fast Lane: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Well to start off the cover of the dvd has Patrick Dempsey with his arm around Fairuza Balk. Which totally makes no sense because his whole character is one that doesn't speak, and doesn't smile. Other than that odd fact, this movie was decent. It wasn't that great, but again I did enjoy Fairuza's performance. She has this great acting ability, and I always wonder why she never really made that key film that would put her on the map. The movie plot was a little weak, but for the most part the acting was pretty good. Tea Leoni is always good, and Noah Taylor had a solid performance. Overall I wouldn't recommend this movie to many people. If you like a dark comedy maybe, but otherwise probably not.

Going into this movie I heard many good things. I didn't want to get too pumped up for it, but I some how knew I'd enjoy it. First things first its fucked up beyond belief. Jackie Earle Haley's character really makes you cringe, and he plays it perfectly. Kate Winslet plays an average house wife, and she plays it perfectly. Everyone in the movie really has great acting ability, and the movie as a whole was well written. The story really sucks you in, and you can't stop watching it. I'd honestly recommend this to people who like indepth, fucked up movies. It is a bit raunchy in some parts, but really is worth watching.

As I've watched these movies I must say I was never enthralled with them. They always impressed in appearance, but I couldn't really see the hype of the series. This movie certainly didn't do much to really change my mind. It was a pretty cool movie, but nothing really stood out. The plot is so insane that it's hard to keep up. I wasn't that impressed with the actual acting either. Keira Knightley, & Orlando Bloom seriously can't act in my opinion. Watching them in most scenes is straining on the eyes. Johnny Depp was good in it, but took a little too long to get him involved with the movie. Trying to keep up with the plot was very difficult, if not impossible. They also had to have about a million different people in it. Making it almost impossible to keep with everyone. Overall, the movie is worth the price just for the special effects, plot wise you wont be too impressed.

Private Parts: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Private Parts is a semi biographical piece about the one and only Howard Stern. Now there are obviously some parts that are made up, or even spiced up a bit for people to be more interested in the movie. I thought they were pretty cool, and as a whole the movie was pretty good. To me it was what it was, it wasn't anything great, but it was pretty good. Its one of those movies to me that you are sitting in your house on a Sunday, and it shows on tnt you'll sit there and watch it. I don't really know if I'd ever want Howard Stern to make another movie, but for his first movie it was exceptional. I'd only recommend this to Howard Stern Fans.

The fact that I even got through this entire movie was a miricle. Well actually I dont think I can use such a word on this huge piece of complete garbage. I shouldn't have expected much from this movie, but my God it's honestly the worst thing I've ever seen. I've actually seen films made by people I know that look better than this one. The acting was beyond awful, and the actual production/camera work couldn't have been worse. I don't even know if I want to comment on the plot which honestly wasn't there at all. I was actually thinking of calling up the people who made this movie, and asking for an hour and a half of my life back, but thought they wasted much more time on this crap so it has to be way worse for them. I recommend this only to torture people you have held hostage. I guess I have to give this movie a 1 out of 5 just because 1 is the lowest. But it even pains me to do that.

Fucking Loved this movie. It brought me back to the days of my first viewing of Super Troopers. Shaun Of the Dead has that similar feel. The feel of something new, and refreshing in the movie business. Simon Pegg definitly has become one of my favorite newer actors out there, not far behind is his sidekick Nick Frost. Both have great chemistry, and deliver a fantastic comedic performance. The plot, and insanely funny script proves to really capture your attention. This is also the first time I saw Kate Ashfield in a film. She proved to be a good co-star, and really had great acting skills. The whole zombie plot also had me from the get go. I mean a comedy that includes zombies has to be automatic gold come on. I highly recommend this to everyone who enjoys beyond funny movies. It's good for a romantic movie to watch with someone, or just to sit around and watch with your friends. Go see this movie, if you haven't. I also recommend Hot Fuzz as well if you turn up liking this movie. Both Nick Frost, and Simon Pegg star in that movie as well.

Well I went to go see Spiderman this weekend. May 6th, 2007. 540pm show. I came into this movie thinking the previous two were pretty good, but nothing that really had me blown away. Some thing you are always guaranteed in Spiderman movies are; Sweet special effects, Love triangles, and cool fight sequences. This movie did not disappoint. I dont want to give too much away here so I wont get into spoilers, but this movie overall was one of the best movies I've seen as far as presentation. The only qualm I have with it is that the fight sequences were kind of rushed, and hard to really see what was going on. Sometimes they'd move the camera too quickly, and you miss something key. The special effects they used for Sandman were pretty cool, and I enjoyed them a lot. Topher Grace as Venom was actually alright in my eyes. They didn't give the character enough screen time, but it was kind of cool seeing him in there. Although I think they could have easily held him off for the next Spiderman movie but hey whatever. Overall, this movie is definitely worth seeing in theaters for the special effects alone. There are way many plot lines to follow, so it might even be something you'll have to see a few times to get everything in. A fuckin sweet movie if I do say so myself.

This was a random movie I found on Netflix. It was real good, and I was pretty suprised by it. The concept was pretty original, and it had that indy type feel to it. Katie Holmes is randomly in it, and has some weird lines including sexual ones that make you go wtf was that Katie Holmes? haha. Aaron Eckhart was real good in the starring role, and delivered a strong performance. Its more or less about cigarette companies, and the weird shit that happens in them. I dont know how much this is based on actual reality, but it is pretty weird to see the shit that happens. Overall, I'd suggest this to mostly anyone who is interested in Indy feeling documentary angle movies. I'd give it a 3 1/2 out of 5. It was overall a solid movie.
