Flight of the Conchords

This is a new show on HBO, based on a music/comedy group called Flight of the Conchords. The group is two guys from New Zealand who have this really dry, subtle humor, but it's absolutely hysterical. and the songs they sing are some of the funniest stuff I've ever heard.

For instance, they have a song where they sing about all the problems in the world, and in one verse they say:

"They’re turning kids into slaves just to make cheaper sneakers
But what’s the real cost, ‘cause the sneakers don’t seem that much cheaper
Why are we still paying so much for sneakers when you got little kid slaves making them
What are your overheads?"

Then, they have another one where the guy sings about a girl he meets at a party and he says

"You're the prettiest girl in the room
If we were on the street, depending on the street you'd probably be in the Top 3
You're hot enough to be a waitress
You're hot enough to be an airline stewardess in the '60's
You're hot enough to be a part-time model
But you'd probably have to keep your normal job
You could spend part of your time modeling
And part of your time next to me
My room is usually tidier than this"

They also do a rap-type song, under their aliases Rhyme-noceros and Hip-hop-oppotumus...

It's really hard to describe, but watch it if you get a chance. And if you can smoke a joint beforehand, that would help too...

They are a parody folk-comedy duo lol they are amazing, check out Jenny on youtube great song, they are amazing I've been listening to their songs for a few years now and it just never gets old and they are actually amazing guitar players and singers to but their lyrics amazing.

They did a half-hour "stand-up" special for HBO, and they did Jenny, Hiphopopotums vs. Rhymenocerous, Albi the Racist Dragon, Business Time, and a few others. It was seriously one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.
