Rep Power: 3  | Halo (2007) read Directed by Guillermo del Toro Writing credits Alex Garland (screenplay) and Joseph Staten (story) In a Holy War with a Covenant of Alien Races, Spartan Super Soldier Master Chief and the crew of a battleship known as "The Pillar of Autumn" accidentally crash land on a mysterious ring-world structure known only as "HALO". Now, Master Chief, along with help from The Pillar of Autumn's sentient computer A.I. (Cortana), must unlock the destructive secrets of "HALO" before the Covenant does, or risk the destruction of Earth. Alex Garland was paid $1 million by Microsoft to write an adaptation of the popular game. Microsoft then sold the script to Universal for $10 million. Director - Guillermo Del Toro - personally, i think he's perfect. Watching movies like Blade 2/Hellboy shows that he's got the stuff to make this movie. With Peter Jackson supervising too, potential for greatness. If Del Toro is to busy with Hellboy 2, then ill go for NEIL MARSHALL as my back-up (see Dog Soldiers/The Descent) Master Chief - some people are saying it does'nt matter who plays him because he'll be wearing a mask. What about V for Vendetta? , im hearing loads of praise for Hugo Weavings performance and he wears a mask for the whole movie!. Still, im think that we'll possibly see some scenes where master chief does'nt wear the mask/suit , maybe he'll get captured by the covenant and they strip it off him or something? Possible choices - Ron Perlman/Viggo Mortenson/Dermot Mulroney Sgt. Johnson - Delroy Lindo. No explanation needed really. Looks like him , sounds like him , great actor. Cpatain Keyes - Im thinking Christopher Walken as a possibility , he seems to do anything as long as the money is good. Cortana - If not RACHEL McADAMS, then Emma Caulfield (buffy). | |
