Rep Power: 42 | Re: 300 I saw it on IMAX. It was ok. Not great, not terrible. It's a cool story though. Although it's vastly exaggerated for the purposes of the movie. In real life, the 300 Spartans were joined by almost 5000 soldiers from other cities in Greece. But whatever, it makes for a more dramatic story if it's only the 300 Spartans | |

Rep Power: 32 | Re: 300 I was confused by all the incredibly pointy nipples, but the fighting scenes were good. Normally I hate lots of cgi, but I enjoyed the splattering blood and flying limbs. I was very sad when the elephants were murdered by those heartless spartans. Some whiny persians are passing around petitions against the film claiming it was derogatory towards them. I pointed out that all the mutant soldiers, immortals, etc they had were portrayed as slaves owned by the persians. I couldn't figure out which of the soldiers were actually persian (besides probably the magicians). Xerxes was pretty gay though, I guess I can't blame them for hating that portrayal. | |
