CD review, Avenged Sevenfold - City Of Evil

well, here it is again, A review, today's being Avenged Sevenfold - City Of Evil, feedback is super helpful, as I wanna do this for a living when I am older, I am 15, so theres need for improvement, cheers.

1. Beast And The Harlot - I love this, it is so fast, lot's of different twists and changes in music, and I love the drumming, and the guitar is amazing IMO, great song to kick off the album.

2. Burn It Down - Fave song on the album, with good drumming again, great melodic vocals, and superb lyrics, such speed and melody in his vocals, again, lot's of turns in the music, which judged on this album, is always good.

3. Blinded In Chains - Another Superb song, with good drumming again! nice Bass to, different tune but seems...familiar to Burn It Down...until it gets into it's own rythem, and breaks off into it's own song, He has such strong vocals since his throat surgery, also, includes a small drum solo, which is good, really fit's into the song, I love it still, great so far.

4. Bat Country - Ok, what a great song, get's going in familiar A7X speed, and an awesome guitar solo, great song, and some super fast vocals a rhythems.

5. Trashed And Scattered - Another awesome song, super fast again, and a lot of music twists again, more superb drumming, there such a great band, and still 6 more songs to go.

6. Seize The Day - A melodic song, but one on the album that shows that they can do more but shout fast and talk about death (according to chavs), superb song, where his vocal power really shows in genius 5 and a half minute ballad.

7. Sidewinder - another softish song, with some great vocals, and I love the tune, great guitar by Synster Gates, the poart of the album that really defines what they want to put out there, that metal doesn't have to be shouting and death.

8. The Wicked End - Well, back to fast music again, with another great tune there by Syn, I love drumming aswell, super song, with a great chorus, good melody and involves the number 666!

9. Strength Of The World - another slow one, but very slow, a great song to lift you when your down, and some superb vocals make this a great power ballad...until it turns A7X, in which it becomes a fabulous song with great guitar and the great line 'It's over...she's finished' certainly a song near to the best on this album.

10. Betreyed - I dont know what to say about this really, I like it, but it doesn't grab me in, and make me want to listen to it all, just a little off to the rest of the album.

11. M.I.A - A song about standing your ground and holding out in the war I think, they must be the only people for the war lmao. Good song though, the chorus is wierd to me, It is a little off putting to me.

Overall a very good album, with a very strong bunch of songs, I would give this 9.3.
