Smackdown vs Raw 2008

This game is about 9/10 months away from the usual WWE release in video games. A bit early, but usually these games are big and I'd like to see what your thoughts on it are.

Please use this thread to improvements we hope to see in the new game etc.

Here are my ideas. I think they're reasonable and not too hard to implement.

-Improved AI (In HCTP It was so damn good. What happened?!)

-Divas in all matches (Women are can compete in any match a man could compete in.)

-Create A Championship needs to be fixed. Make it so your there is no more saving titles to the profiles. Save Ã‚â€˜em to the people who actually won them!

-Bring back all the moves that were scrapped from past SD games and stop taking moves out. (There's no excuse for it.)

-Fix the control system (The new one is very limited.)

-No more moves in separate categories.

-No more limiting move sets due to weight classes. There is no weight limit for Lucha and anyone can do Martial Arts big or small.

-Choosing a pre-match animation. This whole random animation crap has got to go. If someone makes a dark side CAW you wouldn't see them acting like Goldberg or kissing their muscles like Scott Steiner.

-The CAW Photography system needs to be overhauled and I mean now. No more little pictures of a CAW. You should be able to pick a pose for your CAW and adjust the lighting then approve and the CAW's picture would look like any in-game characters picture.

-In Create A Move set there should be the most freedom to choose what your CAW does without having to pick a certain stance. Simply put you could pick everything your CAW would do like an Undertaker apron leg drop or RVD's running chair dropkick without having to pick RVD or Undertaker's stances.

-The Create An Entrance once again needs an overhaul. There is no need to see the entrance happening in the background and hearing your theme play 50,000 times. Using the green models you should have a preview of your entrance just like you get a preview of a move in create a move set and set all the fireworks and camera angles that way. Also you should be able to slow the motion down so you could set fireworks off at the exact time.

-In CAW mode all clothes should be customizable in every way (Color, Stylize, Length, Sleeve length, and etc.)

-More hairstyles for CAW mode.

-Get rid of sample models and bring back sample figures that look realistic (The ones from HCTP looked very abnormal.)

-Old School WWE logos in CAW mode.

-Accurate theme songs for all the legends. (Cactus jack using Mick Foley's theme is stupid and Bam not having any music was bad too.)

-Create A Stable entrance.

-As part of CAW mode you get to pick what weapons you pull from under the ring when you are in a match. (Not everyone uses a sledgehammer or barbwire bat.)

-Stacking tables outside the ring.

-Standing double team moves outside the ring.

-Having to unlock move set by move set until you get all the moves (It just gets boring when you can play 5 matches and buy a majority of the moves.

I agree completely, and this time make sure that the commentary isn't so stupid and glitchy. Make sure the game is ready this year who cares if you release it after christmas just make sure glitches are gone. And I espicially agree about teh create an entrance it's so hard to time it and I have to hear everything and see everything 45000 times

Yeah, the commentry blows, I was Undertaker, and I hit HHH with a last ride, and they said, Angle Slam! Angle Slam!...So the commentary for me.

Is it just me or is there hardly any attire thats good? Like patterns and etc. maybe its just me.

But yeah i hope its better then 07 cuz 07 was a let down for me, i was expecting way more as far as gameplay goes and extras.

actually, wayne u got a good point, the designs look like like something from the 70's, AKA alternate hogan attire :P

I really liek the whole entrance. It's interasting to do all that. The way the the CAW is set up bugs me. You can't hardly customize it. I like the actual masks and shit. I really hate the ways m oves are done. That shit is so confusing.

A couple of the things(both are in CAW mode):

- removing stuff from ur Character. My brother was playing it and it took him 30 minuts to find out how to elimate something.
- A choice of Enterance, In Ring attire or Promo/Out of the ring attire because when u choose 1 u should to choose it's use

Ya i had the same problem. i was super pissed, didnt understand the way they layed out the whole CAW section.

And as far as game play goes... Why is there only like 4 reversals... same stuff all the time every grapple has the same boring reveral and he reverses the move all the damn time.. tahst the only way to get any offense back is to reverse if not the beating goes on with no hope...

remember in last years game at the beginning of a match u could lock up and press button combos to get first hit and etc? Well maybe use this for a 'momentum" system. like when your getting beat down... You loose momentum but if the crowd cants or something you can engage in the system and have like punch outs. (trading punches) like they do in real wrestling... just a idea... Anyone agree?

I agree with you John definitely on the created Championship, I got pissed off on playing when it was me and it saved to the profile...

What type of new Matches would you guys like?

I wouldn't mind seeing Extreme Elimination Chamber, Barbwire Cage match, and Inferno match...
