Where do you see music in 5 years?

Where do you see music in five years?

Do you think it will still be dominated by emocore(welll more emo thats no core to it anymore)/rap or do you think something else will take the thronoe?

Many will think I'm crazy but I see British Dance Rock as the dominating force, yes I'm a little biased bc I do love BDR but think about it. There are many bands in Britain that have this style and are very popular in North America (Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys) just my thoughts? What are yours?

It will shift slightly but not much, these past few years have been horrible for music at least for me. So I just wish they would come out with some more Metal or Rock, and no not that sissy Fall Out Boy if that is what you call Rock, but for now, its Classic Rock all the way with me.

It's changed quite a bit in 10 years, rap was just starting to get big in 96/97 with Tupac being shot it was on the rise but not on top yet 96/97 was the start of pop princesses/boy bands and emo was way different back then in the undergrounds it was more hardcore with softer lyrics now it's just pussy shit

Well with all the technology we have right now, I see a chip implanted to our brains and just like infrared, we look at a document and Download it to our chip. Instant music and no need for ipods, earbuds, batteries or anything to carry. *Please do not quote me*

^^^Strange^^^

I see music being the exact same. All different categories. Yet I think everybody will still be listening to things like Metallica, and Van Halen. That's more for the yet "punk" kids, yet for people like me 2Pac and Eminem will be dominating.

Srry i had to quote you.
But yeah.. i dont see that but it would be pretty amazing.

I see music getting scandalize... More sexual lyrics and trashy. More emo... And more foul... Rap is a bunch of "Bitch" "Nigga" "Fuck" Lots of that... And rock will get more depressing as time goes on.

I don't think it can get a whole lot more depressing. It is already pretty bad. I mean look at bands like ShineDown CrossFade and 10 Years. They are really bad for depression. Yet I agree I like rap and all, yet it is the same thing over and over again.

In Canada, Emocore is a lot more famous, bands like Alexisonfire are more recognised. Over here were kinda dominated by pop <.<

I see Indie really coming on strong, with Arctic Monkeys leading the somewhat metophorical charge.

Arctic Monkeys are british dance rock as well call it Dave, and ALexisonfire in Canada is about the only real true Emocore band, we have alot of sissy rock, aka Simple Plan who I plan on killing Saw style.
