Justin Timberlake was real good in the movie. He's a natural. I'd like to see what he'd do in a bigger role. Bruce Willis had a pretty decent small part in the movie. What I liked most about the movie is the way it naturally went through, and didnt drag at all. I cant stand when a movie has boring parts to it, and mostly all of the movie was good. Another thing I found kind of cool is how natural all the kids were in the movie. Usually kids come off as not being able to deliver lines, but these kids were cool. Emile Hirsch played a solid lead. He was good in Lords of Dogtown, and The Girl Next Door so I wasnt too suprised. Good to see Harry Stanton randomly in a movie too. Last time I remember seeing him was in Pretty In Pink. Shit he's old as fuck now. Anton Yelchin was pretty good too as the person being kidnapped, he was kickass in Huff the tv show. Ben Foster was by far my favorite in the movie. He played a fucking crazy nutcase, he was greatness. The other funny thing is some random people in the movie. Sharon Stone, and Alan Thicke randomly appear haha that was nuts. And that guy that played Mickey from 2gether as well. Anyway, this movie is definitly atleast worth a rent when it comes on dvd. Rating: :eight: |

Rep Power: 20 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Alpha Dog I just now watched the movie, after reading numerous news articles about the case. I've watched some of the home video's that are available too, showing the kid partying with them on his final days, and seriously almost cried myself. About the movie, it starts out real strange. But it's based off of a true story, so finding a good starting point is definitely hard. As it progresses, it all comes together to show how it happened. Timberlake is definitely a natural -- the part was played to perfection ... everything about it. The connection between Anton Yelchin (who's a Russian refugee) and Justin Timberlake was amazing. The two were able to really make the whole movie seem right. At the end, my girlfriend was actually crying, and I wanted to. It's just a tragic series of events, and it's fucking pathetic that there are people out there who will kill others (people not even involved!) for such petty reasons. Well, hell, it's pathetic that people kill at all. | |
