What is a good statute of limitations when it comes to talking about spoilers? I don't mean just for movies, but for things like books and video games as well. How long before it's OK to talk about a spoiler?

It's not OK to say what happens at the end of a movie that cam out a week ago, but I doubt many people would care about something that cae out years ago (Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense was dead all along, and Aeris dies in Final Fantasy VII). So when is a movie/video game open to being talked about without having to worry about ruining it for other people?

This was actually meant to be more of a general discussion thing, since I know there are some people who don't like being told what happens in a movie that came out 20 years ago, and others who don't care if you tell them about a movie/video game that came out last week.

Never.

I ususally don't see movies when they first come out.. so it can be a few years till I watch them. If I know what happens I wont watch them.

If i'm ever discussing a movie or TV Show I ALWAYS ask them if they've watched it and if they don't mind me telling them what happens etc.

Even if it's the smallest thing I hate knowning about since I'll be expecting it. and when I'm watching I don't want to know anything thats going to happen.
