A "supersized" episode of Bravo's Top Chef averaged 2.2 million total viewers Wednesday, making it the most-watched episode of the culinary competition series ever.
The episode, which aired from 10 to 11 p.m., also was the top-rated cable program of the day among adults 25 to 54 (1.6 million) and delivered its largest audience in the adults 18 to 49 demo (1.6 million) to date, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Season two of the show, which was just picked up for a third season, is averaging 1.7 million total viewers, up 54 percent from the same point in season one.
Meanwhile, FX's Dirt got good news Thursday. Due to a Nielsen error, the show's premiere numbers were actually higher than reported, with 3.7 million total viewers, 2.4 million adults 18 to 49 and 1.2 million adults 18 to 34 tuning in to its 10 p.m. debut Tuesday. Those figures were good enough to make the episode cable's No. 1 program of the night in total viewers and both demos
I absolutely love this show. Haven't missed an episode yet.
