Family Guy writers back at work

Quote:
Production on season six of Fox's hit animated series Family Guy is back on track, according to Variety. The show had been scheduled to start production in late October, but the show's writers were told to stand down as series creator Seth McFarlane was working out a new contract with Fox.
The hold up occurred because McFarlane's contract would have been up in a few months, and the network didn't want to hold production up in the middle of the season if the two sides came to loggerheads. The show's writers returned to work on Wednesday, after Fox told them an agreement was close.
McFarlane created and co-executive produces the hit Sunday night comedy, as well as Fox's Sunday animated show American Dad! and the networks upcoming live-action sitcom, The Winner. Family Guy season six is still slated to premiere in 2007.
