Rep Power: 73   | Actors who can't do accents!! Should actors change their accents when they're playing a character from another part of the world or just not bother? After all, the following have given tremendous "comic" value - Colin Farrell in Alexander or Miami Vice Sean Connery in anything where he's not actually playing a Scotsman (particularly the Irish Cop in Untouchables...bwahhahahahaha) Jason Statham in Transporter Kevin Costner in Robin Hood Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins Natalie Portman in V for Vendetta Leonardo di Caprio in Gangs of New York Keanu Reeves in Bram Stoker's Dracula Tim Roth in anything he's required to be American in Christopher Lambert in Highlander Tom Cruise in Far & Away Anymore......... | |

Rep Power: 18 | Sadly, and I'm not trying to be offensive Bulldog, but a lot of actors who do the British accent seem fine to Americans. As long as they have that demograph set hollywood doesn't really care about what everyone else thinks. That chick from Bridget Jones Diary was awful too though. |
