6/05/06 Well, it looks like the previous report about this being a prequel is luckily not true, as it was reported today that musician-turned-director Rob Zombie will write, direct, and even produce the new installment, which has been said will be a new take in the series and appeal to not only horror fans but avid movie-goers as well. It's also mentioned that this will not be a copycat of any previous Halloween film. It sounds to me like Rob plans to re-invent the series, making this new installment into a "re-imainging" a word that Hollywood likes to refer to remakes as. I guess it's safe to say that no rappers will be cast in the film this time. Excellent.

[Today 05:12 PM] DD: Slim gets the sexiest boy ever award
Batman Begins was not that good IMO. The first 40 minutes was horrible(who decided to make his training last that long?) and Scarecrow was barely in the movie.
They need to let the Halloween movies stay gone, the last few sequels have been horrible. I will reserve my final judgement for now though.

Why do they always have to reimagine? Just fix what H20 and Resurrection screwed up and continue. The original Halloween doesn't need to be "reimagined."

I'm really excited for this, i heard about it the other day and I cant wait. Its not really a 9th movie, from what i heard that Rob Zombie said in an interview its a remake/prequel whatever you wanna call it. I think it'll be really great, i wasnt too too impressed with House of 1000 Corpses but The Devils Rejects is one of the greatest horror movies ever made.
