Iwill post my pros and cons below. *Spoilers* Spoilers don't scroll down if you havent seen it. Im serious if you havent seen the movie yet, don't scroll down. Pro's Beast (he did awesome) Juggernaut (Im the Juggernaut Bitch!) Good Action Con's They killed off cyclops They killed Xavier Rogue doesent have her power anymore. ^^^ All of that never happened in the comic book like they did in the movie. Too much off Wolverine and Storm and not enought of the others. Angel wasent even in the movie at all. Just like three small parts. I thought he was going to have a much bigger role. All in all, i thought it was a good movie. I might even go see it again.

This one had a lot of plot holes but moved along action wise fairly fast. I give it a 6/10. Where I would rate the first two films a 8/10. I bet none of you stayed until the end of the credits? If you did they showed something at the end.... Spoiler.... Xavier is still alive When he lecturing to the class on morality with their powers he showed a comatose man and said something about "What would happen if we put someones mind into this man?" At the end they flash back to the bed and Dr. McTaggert (sp?) she says "Good morning" and you hear Patrick Stewart's voice respond "Hello Moira." Her mouth drops open and she starts to cry "Charles?!" and that was it

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | *SPOILERS* Just got back from seeing it. Liked it, but it was no where near as good as Singer's films. Now, this isn't necessarily Ratner's fault. For a guy who came in at the eleventh hour, he did a bang up job. A lot of the problem has to do with the script. It seemed like they took the second draft and ran with it. For instance, the Bobby/Kitty/Rogue love triangle. Now, in order for a love triangle to be successful we have to actually know who the third person is and what she thinks of the male lead. Case in point: Kitty. We never really know all that much about her aside from she can walk through walls and helps Iceman out now and then. Rogue gets jealous and goes to get cured so Bobby can touch her like he touches Kitty. However, we no nothing about Kitty. We don't know how she really feels about Bobby, nor he for her. Thusly the love triangle fails. I also didn't care for Cyclops getting offed so early. Now, it's not like I'm a big Cyclops fan or anything. He's always come off as a whiner, so I felt he had it coming. But give the guy more than 5 minutes of screentime, for God's sake. Angel was also underused. He flys away from the cure, joins Xavier's school and saves his dad. That's it. Speaking of Xavier's school, why were they even contemplating shutting the school down and sending the students home? Xavier told Storm she would take his place should anything happen to him. There shouldn't have been any question that the school would remain. It was a useless plot device that lasted all of thirty seconds. Now, for the things I liked: Wolverine. The comic book purists can say what they want, but in my book Hugh Jackman kicks all kinds of ass as Wolverine. There's a reason Wolvie's gotten so much attention and screen time in the previous films: he really is the coolest and most psychologically complicated character in the X-men. I really love how his character came full circle in this trilogy. He started off a loner, only caring about himself. Then in this film he really becomes totally selfless, and sacrifices his love for Jean in order to save lives. Juggernaut at times was pretty awesome. He just should have never spoken. Ian McKellan, I'll say it again, is one of the greatest actors I've ever seen. He could do an entire movie sitting on the toilet and he'd make it brilliant. I loved how he actually showed some compassion for Xavier and recognized that Xavier had done a lot for mutant kind. It was also neat seeing that chess piece move at the end, showing that the cure was temporary and letting the audience know that Magneto will return. It should also be interesting to see what will happen (should there be another film) between Magneto and Mystique. Since the cure is temporary, Mystique will be her normal self again and I'm sure she'd love to get back at Magneto for turning his back on her. Storm was fine. We got to see her do some kickass stuff that was missing in the previous films, but otherwise Berry played her as she's always played her. And of course, you can't forget Phoenix. I've never read the comics so I don't know what she was like in them and I don't care. I sympathized with her the entire way, knowing that Jean was deep in there and just wanted to be freed. Her moment with Wolverine at the end was heartbreaking. So, overall I'd give the film a B-. I'll buy it on DVD of course, but it still isn't as good as what Singer did with the first two. *END SPOILERS*
| When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fullfillment of all that has been written. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. They will fall by the sword and be taken as prisoners to all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. ...At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. Luke 21:20-28 | ||

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I'm really torn on this movie, i saw it last night and I really liked it but the entire way thru I was couldnt help but think its being rushed. That and you just KNOW Singer would have done such a better movie. *Spoilers* I really didnt like how its basically came up with its own plot line, it hardly followed anything and it skipped ahead way way too much. I would have rather this movie be drawn out over another 3 movies to focus on other characters more. I was really shocked when Xavier died same with Scott. I still really really wish they would have waited for Singer to finish superman to do X3. Maybe he'll be back for the 4th. I probably will go see it again to watch after the credits. All in all i'd give the movie a 6/10 not nearly as good as the first two tho.

They'll be back as you saw with Xavier and we never really saw Cyclops die or maybe I missed that part.. We didn't see him explode or whatever it's called that Phoenix does to people and objects. I thought McKellen and Grammer were excellent in their respecitive roles as Magneto and Beast and for all the shit Jackman gets from people, he's one bad ass Wolverine, I swear. The movie itself left a lot to be desired but I think that's a good thing. Things such as the introduction of Gambit I'd like to see done in a more significant way then a little cameo. Lets face it, it's hard to introduce too many characters and keep the pace of the film. I wasn't pissed about the lack of involvement from Angel because I think the character sucks, always have. I loved the action sequences, those were brilliant. Everything from the moving of the bridge to the final battle scenes with Pyro/Iceman, Callisto/Storm, etc.. were awesome. I also loved the heartbreaking scene where Wolverine has to off Jean Grey; it was done very well. I like Kitty Pryde also.. or maybe I should say the actress who plays her. She's very cute, reminded me of Erin ![]() It was a nice touch to see Professor X come back at the end of the credits leaving the door open for a 4th installment, which I believe will happen. This franchise is just too big and makes too much money not to continue. Also, have to love Magneto showing signs of an imperfect cure.

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I do like how they left it open its just that they few thru too many other things that i wish they haddent. But i really REALLY hope if they make a 4th one they bring Bryan Singer back because honestly this was a great movie. But only on its own really if you try and relate it back to the first two movies its not that great I dont think. So if they dont bring in Singer again i almost think the whole series will be lost. Where was Gambit? I missed him completely.

I agree with everyone that X2 was probably better but I wasn't much of a fan for the first film. Also, I I liked all the emotion in this movie. Not that the others didn't have emotion but there was really some great acting displayed here for a film that's supposedly just "a little comic book movie".. Fuck that. This cast can act. I thought the acting in films like Fantastic Four was deplorable, but this film was different.
