I believe it debuted yesterday nationwide. I don't necessarily expect this movie to really be all that great as a movie, or acting wise. The entire crew I believe was made up by small time actors. However I think could provide for a renewed faith of select patriotism for the USA, through the wounds being re-opened again as people remember what they were doing on 9/11, and how they felt for the weeks following it. The negative could of course be that middle easterners are continued to be viewed as terrorists.
I was hoping to see it this weekend, I don't believe it's too soon like some people are saying. It looks interesting.
It's done alright in theatres so far, about $11.6 million this weeked. It's not that much, but this weekend seemed pretty slow in general for movies with the #1 movie(RV) only bringing in $16.4 million.

There'll be no sorrow there, no more burdens to bear,
No more sickness, no more pain, no more parting over there;
And forever I will be with the One who died for me,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

Regarding the movie weekend, I imagine since it's the first real nice weekend in the northern part of the states, a lot of people are doing the outside work.
I don't think I'm going to watch it either.It's too soon I think.. I don't think that anyone will ever forget 9/11.. I'd rather not have that day revisited.
I'll watch it on video, its not like it affected me to much (me being a canadian and all...but don't take me wrong it was a harsh terriost attack N All) but I just hate sitting in those goddamn movie seats.
