"Flavor of Love" Star Pumkin Loses Again

"Flavor of Love" contestant Pumkin was terminated by Bakersfield, California's Kern High School District for appearing on the VH1 reality show.

The reality show featured 20 women competing to become Flavor Flav's main squeeze. The 26-year-old Pumkin (born Brooke Thompson) was among the series' final three contestants. In her last appearance, Pumkin spit in the face of New York, one of the show's other finalists, nearly causing an on-camera fight.

Word is Pumkin's saliva pitch was suggested by the show's producers. The district stated that Pumkin was let go because her appearance on the show was too much of a distraction to students.

"We had kids that were sticking their heads in the door just to sneak a look at her and that kind of craziness that was just disruptive to the learning process," district spokesman John Tevis told NBC.

Though Pumkin complained that her termination was unfair, she admitted that her long-term goals include a career in entertainment rather than education.

I'm not sure she should have been fired for that. She admitted though that would rather be in entertainment, so no big deal.

true. i hope she got a severance package.

I hate when people in general get severance packages because of how big they are. The superintendent of a local school district here got fired for discriminating against older employees and she got the pay she normally would have got for the res of this year and next year if her job pays less than the one she had the school district will make up the difference.
