I dont know if I like this movie or not.

I mean, I absolutely love it, thats because I've read about 6 books on Johnny Cash (2 of which the movie was based on) and I knew exactly what was going to happen and the backing stories to everything that went on.

The girl I went with didnt think it was a true story, she knows a bit about Cash (my influence) but didnt think that it could all be real. For example, the coincidences of Cash and June Carter just happening to show up at the same shop one day, but they did, it's all a true story, which is very amazing.

It's a beautiful story, I'd recommend it to most people. It is a love story, but it's got a real edge to it. Because I know so much about Cash I didnt actually know if it was a good movie, but most people I know enjoy it, and that's cool.

I was never really sure of what to make of the whole thing from a start, luckily Joaquin Phoenix or Reese Witherspoon dont annoy me, so I was giving it a chance but most Cash fans my age seem to slate it. I think it was quality.

It's funny how the movie only covers a bit about Cash's childhood and 12 years of his life in the 50's and 60's, when there is SO much more. I think there should be a sequal or continuation. The guy's life is so amazing and eventful, mine is fucking dull.

The best part of the movie was when Cash was being offered some pills for the first time, and the guy who was offering them just says:

"Go on, Elvis does it"

And this weak Elvis lookalike is just standing there looking at him, hahahaha. Hilarious.

I'd love to see it but, as with Brokeback Mountain, I can't see me getting the time to. It'll be DVD release date for me.

i really like this movie. i'd have to say its my favorite movie of 2005 and one of my all time favorite movies but i love johnny cash so i could be biased

That was quick lol. It won't be out for a while yet over here and (whilst I do have some US DVD's) I hate chipping the DVD player to play US ones and then having to remember to chip it back for our DVD's. I'll wait!!

I want to see this. I had planned on going last Friday, but the girl I was going to go with decided she'd rather go off to London insted... b!tch. I'll probably wait untill the DVD comes out now since I won't have time now to go and see it.
