Tool's former chart-topper "10,000 Days" (Volcano) held steady at No. 3 in its third week with 83,000 copies. White Stripes frontman Jack White's side project the Raconteurs debuted at No. 7 with "Broken Boy Soldiers," which sold 61,000 copies. It marks the first visit to the big chart for his colleagues Brendan Benson and the Greenhornes duo of Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler, while the last White Stripes album, "Get Behind Me Satan," opened at No. 3 last year with 189,000 copies. Hoobastank's "Every Man For Himself" (Island) entered at No. 12 selling only a few hundred less. The band's last album, "The Reason," opened at No. 45 in 2003 with 65,700 copies. | |
