Hollywood Director Alan Smithee has directed many many movies in his time.. he was born in 1967 I believe, the same year he directed his first movie 'Death of a Gunfighter'.

So, Who is he? and how did his first film come out the year he was born?

It's a phony name used by directors who had their original films recut and no longer wish to be associated with the picture.

Thats correct sir.. And thats the only time a Director can disown a movie, if the producers cut it into something the director never intended.

Basically any film directed by 'Alan Smithee' is going to be utter shite
