Anyone ever see this movie? I just watched it tonight with a couple of friends. It's crazy. Good movie though.
As a brief description, it follows the life of a few ghetto kids living in I think NYC. The main character is Telly, a teenager who's dependant on the ladies. As the movie starts out he's banging this one 13 year old girl. They finish, he runs on outta there bragging on his latest lay to his friend Casper. Without ruining the movie, they go through the day and show the lifestyle they live. A few good twists show up in the movie, showing you how life really can fuck you in the ass if you're not in touch with reality.
Very...disturbing. Especially since it has 13 and 14 year old kids screwing. I'd like to know how Larry Clark got away with it, honestly.

I agree with Sabac here. So they smoke weed and bang bitches? I don't really see the big deal. If you don't think 13-year old boys want to get laid as much as we do you're crazy. I thought the story kinda sucked, but that's just my opinion.
I was slightly intoxicated when I watched it, which could've helped the movie out slightly. I simply thought it was interesting with the HIV case and how things work out.

Yeah it was a decent enough swerve at the end. I bet if you watch it again sober you'll be like wtf was I thinking haha

It's just weird to hear critics talk about this movie. At the time I was probaly around the same age as the kids being portrayed and I couldn't believe what these old people were saying. I remember when it came out all the people were like "Oh my God!!".. they stuck the poor film with an NC-17 rating which was total bullshit.
You mean to tell me when these folks at the MPAA were growing up, ages 13 or 14, they didn't think about doing drugs or getting laid? When I was 13 I was forever trying to get a sweet nice girl to do naughty things.. haha.
It's a good movie if you take it as an experience rather as a movie based on plot or anything like that. There's just so much going on, some of it is corny, that you just have to kinda dig on it and let it be. It's not a great movie to watch a second time though. Once you go through it once it's pretty stupid. hahahahha.
I own it. I got it for really cheap and hadn't seen it before.
