How the mighty have fallen.
Word has just come out that Wesley Snipes has signed on to co-star with Jean Claude Van Damme in one of his direct to video movies (Read: Crap) titled "The Hard Corps."
Van Damme will be playing a battle-hardened combat vet who's just spent 3 years fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, and who's hired to be a bodyguard to a former World Heavyweight Boxing champion. The boxer has run afoul of a dangerous rap music mogul (is there any other kind?), which is why he needs the extra protection. Snipes would be playing either the rap mogul or the boxer. Claudius decides to put together a team of combat vets to help him protect the pimp-daddy -- The Hard Corps -- but complications arise when the boxer suspects that his sister may be falling in love with the bodyguard.
I remember when Snipes was a big action star in the 90's. Now he's starred in a bunch of direct to DVD movies followed up by signing on for this movie. The only major film he's done lately was Blade 3 and we all know how well that turned out by how much money it didn't make at the box office. I personally hated Blade 3.
