Is there going to be a 3rd film at all because i've just watched Outbreak and at the end the scientist activated her and it left it at that and now i'm wondering if there is going to be any more or is that it?

Don't bet on it. Anderson is still involved (script) and he's drifted so far away from the RE universe its hopeless.

I still say Bruce Campbell should have been in the first one as Chris Redfield, or worse case scenario as Barry or even Wesker.

i actually enjoyed both movies, but yes they arent close to the video games at all but if u you really think about it, id rather watch something that relates to them and is new instead of being in the theater and going ohhhh her comes the part with leon and claire face the giant aligator with midget babies

Lol, I liked them both too. It gets annoying when all people do is complain about how it wasn't like the game. News flash... It's not the game it is a movie.

I never really played the games to much and got confused because i thought the main character was a bloke and then i realised i was thinking of Silent Hill :happy:

While the films aren't very close to the games, they are very enjoyable. I'm up for a third one.

The RE films have been crap. Anderson is widely regarded (and rightfully so) as a talentless hack who has one semi-decent movie to his resume. The movies are written and filmed for 13 year olds with no attention spans. This cretin has absolutely no style or ability as a filmmaker whatsoever.

The movies most definitely should have followed the plot/storyline of the games. The movie exists because of the game, not vice versa. A movie named Resident Evil doesn't exist unless there's a game with the same name. If this loser wanted to make a half-assed zombie movie then he should have slapped a different title on it.
