Season 1 vs. Season 10. Too Young, Too Old.

Some show take forever to get noticed.

Some shows hang on way too long.

Some peak when nobody sees them, then they reap the benefits in syndication.

Some shows you wonder how they even made it out of season 1, but hey at the time it seemed funny.

Some prime examples are some of my favorite shows now.

Seinfeld - Ehh, its pretty funny still, but there is NO character development at all. You can tell they all have chemistry and like each other, but they hadnt gotten that "Seinfeld" feel for about 3 more seasons.

The Simpsons - They are currently running season 1 repeats in my area at 7:30pm. Man, I just watch the episodes and cringe. I just find myself nitpicking at how amazingly different it is now. Did you know Smithers was orignially Black? They magically changed his color to "Simpson yellow" after a few episodes.

There are tons more, but thats where you come in.

Let's here em.

The Cosby Show is one that comes to mind.

The first season appeared to be just a detailed version of his stand up comedy. For any one who has seen some of his DVDs from the early 80's such as Cosby Himself I believe it's called can see that in the first season.

The house looked different and the cast had zero to no chemistry.

Compare that to some of their peak episodes and you see a big difference.

The cast has excellent chemistry and it turned into must see TV, at least when I was growing up, back in the day.

I think both Married with Children and Seinfeld got better as they went on. Married with Children lasted a little longer than it needed to though. I can never get enough of Seinfeld and I wa shocked when Family Guy got cancelled.

I think Married...With Children should have stayed on, I think season 12(it's final season) was one of it's best. I agree about it getting better as time went on, I didn't really like to many of the pre-Jefferson episodes and I hated that Seven kid.

I was upset, but not suprised when Family Guy got cancelled(both times). They stuck the show on Thursday nights up against both Friends and Survivor.

Yes.. I hated that Seven kid too, complete waste of time, and so was Steve.. Marcy's old husband. Jefferson was funny as hell.

haha, yeah Jefferson was the man.
I think family Matters got kinda of lame towards the end. I hardly watched it though, when it moved from ABC to CBS, I believe it was. Another show that comes to mind is Power Rangers. It is still running, but nowhere near as good as the original.

Thanks for the memories Eddie!

I know, I watched Power Rangers every morning before school when I was a kid. I stopped watching though after PR in Space.

Speaking of Family Matters, earlier today they aired two of the three part episode where Steve goes into space.

Steve went into space?

That's why I don't watch TV.

Yeah, he got selected to be the first student in space and to test his anit-gravity machine, so he and Laura had to delay their wedding untill he got back. I never the last season when it originally aired, only in re-runs.

yeah, I remember that like being near the series finale of Family Matters. Did he get trapped in space or did he make it back to eartH? Well, the show still had a good run. For some reason, the youngest sister disappeared from the show for now reason.

Haha, and I watched up to Lost Galaxy TJ. Just one more season after Space. All the series up to galaxy weren't that bad actually. I think Saban stopped doing it after Galaxy, and tahts' when it started to get bad. I did watch a lot of the Dino Thunder series, however, just because Tommy was back on the show.

Thanks for the memories Eddie!
