Wallace & Gromit

Anyone else seen it? Best film I've seen in absolute ages, hilarious from start to finish, the animation is outstanding, great voiceovers, great little "Blink and you miss it" gags, best comedy in ages. Funniest film of 05 by a LONG way

Yeah come on.

What do the Americans on here think of this, if you've heard of it?

It's very twee and English.....I'm not a fan of it myself.....is it something that crosses over well?

I haven't seen it yet but it's earned about $33 million in the 2 weeks since its release.

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

I wouldn't say it was twee.. and it's MEANT to be very English, that's kind of the point.

Er yeah. That was me that said it was twee not you, that's my "opinion"

As for it being very English, that's what I said isn't it? I was asking other American's on here if it came across as "very English" and therefore offputting to them.

Maybe you just misunderstood me to lengthen the shelf life of this thread!

Cool idea!

I can't wait to see the movie, just been too busy to get a chance lately. Craig is a big Wallac and Gromit fan and so we've seen all the shorts about them plus one I think called Creature Comforts and Chicken Run. I like claymation in general, it just draws me in somehow. It's something I could never do and so I'm amazed by how good it can look 0 like in Corpse Bride.

And I was expressing my opinion in light of your comments.. Ya know, to 'lengthen the shelf life of the thread' .. ;) (Yeah, I misinterpreted, my bad :P)

Jackie, go go go already.. if you enjoyed the previous ones, and you did from what you say, you'll love the film. I think the original Creature Comforts (As well as the following tv series) was great.. ya know they just went down the street and recorded the opinions of the public to get the voices, and then shaped the animals they made around the voices? I think that's such a good idea, really worked well.

Chicken Run didn't do much for me, dunno why.. I guess the lead chicken (Not Mel Gibson, he was quite funny), the lead female chicken, just annoyed the piss outta me. Get a funnier voice actor! I guess it's 'cos it wasn't W+G, it was never gonna measure up for me..
